About the Role
We're offering an opportunity for an experienced Director of Graphic Design to join us in Houston, Texas. The Director of Graphic Design is responsible for managing all design projects from concept to delivery as well as creating original artwork as it relates to marketing for PBK and its divisions.
As a Firmwide Director of Graphic Design on our team you will:
- Create and/or re-fresh brand standards for parent company and all companies within PBK.
- Create and manage templates for digital and print work internally and externally as it relates to marketing and for other support departments.
- Generate fresh concepts adhering to the PBK brand identity.
- Promote the vision of the firm through high-quality graphic content.
- Manage external communication channels for social media platforms, and company website while adhering to the firms brand guidelines.
- Maintain a positive, consistent brand image.
- Coordinate specialized printing with production team.
- Support firmwide initiatives.
- Keep open and clear communication.
- Use a creative approach to perform tasks and responsibilities on projects in an organized, timely, and consistent way.
- Express curiosity about the world of design and the industry at large.
- Communicate ideas and thoughts in a way that inspires others.
- Effectively coordinate with partners and consultants.
- Perform any other related tasks as needed.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Computer Art or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience in graphic design with leadership roles as a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical skills and creativity.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills.
- Strong research writing skills.
- Understanding of digital and production delivery.
- Expert or Proficient skills in full Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Expert or Proficient skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
