Civil Project Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer in Northern New Jersey to oversee and lead our civil construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage civil construction projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, budget, and timeline.
• Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Conduct site assessments and risk evaluations to identify challenges and propose solutions.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineers, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor and control project progress, track expenses, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, procurement, and expense monitoring.
• Coordinate and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Address potential issues and implement corrective measures to keep projects on track.
• Prepare and present project reports to senior management.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure plans align with project requirements.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer in civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and industry best practices.
