Industrial Painter

Now Hiring 1st Shift Industrial Painters in Fairfield, Ohio!

Shift: 1st Shift, 6:30am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday

Rate: $21.00-$23.00 (based on experience)

We are looking for an industrial painter with a positive attitude who focuses on Safety, Quality and Production. This person will have a sense of urgency as they lead the paint department daily completing jobs that meet or exceed our delivery expectations.

Essential Functions:

• Apply paint and coatings to metal, wood, and other surfaces using airless paint spraying techniques and other specialized equipment.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and degreasing.
• Use power tools, such as sanders and drills, to complete surface preparation tasks.
• Assemble and disassemble equipment and scaffolding as needed.
• Operate a forklift or crane to move equipment and materials.
• Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to perform maintenance tasks on equipment.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize painting processes.
• Perform welding tasks to repair equipment or build new structures.
• Ensure all work is done in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete painting projects on time and within budget.
• Spray two part epoxy daily.
• Inventory paint and supplies.
• Clean and maintain booth and all paint equipment.
• Clean parts with 3 stage washer.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Maintain EPA data sheets on paint usage.
• Moves with purpose and has a sense of urgency

Requirements:

• Experience with auto painting and airless paint spraying.
• Ability to operate a forklift and crane safely and efficiently.
• Proficiency with power tools and a willingness to learn new techniques.
• Experience with assembly and disassembly of equipment and scaffolding.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Experience with welding and the ability to operate a welding machine safely.
• Experience working in a warehouse or production environment.
• A commitment to safety and a willingness to follow all safety protocols.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
