The PDI Sales Organization is searching for a dynamic and focused Territory Sales Executive with experience in sophisticated license and subscription solution sales to territory-based accounts in the convenience retail, petroleum wholesale, and logistics industries.  PDI’s customers operate in a competitive marketplace and seek innovative tools and strategies to enable growth and increase operating efficiencies. The territory-based Sales Executive will align PDI with customers to better serve them, including identifying and positioning PDI products and services to meet customer needs in the North American market. In addition, this role will be responsible for driving the appropriate engagement and executive leadership alignment to ensure continued customer satisfaction. A successful candidate will be proactive and passionate about both company and client success. 

 

Key Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Develops both territory and account specific plans focused on maximizing customer satisfaction and growing the Sales funnel of products and services across PDI’s lines of business
  • Communicates and inspires the PDI vision and strategy
  • Aligns customer’s needs and requirements with PDI’s capabilities, positioning complex solutions through value-based selling, business case definition, ROI analysis, and data
  • Must be able to strike the right balance between building and maintaining high level of customer satisfaction with growing share of mind and wallet
  • Coordinates with other departments within the organization to be able to meet client commitments, including solutions engineering, development, customer success, marketing, finance, legal and professional services
  • Builds, motivates, and inspires a collaborative account team made up of solution engineers, inside sales, customer success, and professional services to strategize, map opportunities, and deliver Sales results
  • Implements structured and consistent communication framework to ensure stakeholders at all levels within the Company have visibility into current account status
  • Works with senior management to develop sales and opportunity strategy
  • Develops and maintains excellent relationships with customers to ensure PDI is viewed as a trusted and strategic partner
  • Meets and exceeds financial targets

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Sales and/or account management experience in/around c-store, petroleum wholesale and logistics industries
  • 5-10 years+ of related business and sales and account management experience along with a proven track record of success in complex solution sales
  • Demonstrated history of managing the sales process and developing strategic roadmaps which align customer needs, business issues and opportunities with industry best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including establishing credibility and trust with cross functional teams that can impact the customer including engineering, development, customer success, marketing, finance, legal and professional services
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and problem solving in a fast paced, high growth, and always adapting environment
  • Demonstrated business acumen and strong executive presence
  • Ability to forge and leverage internal and external partnerships
  • Available for regular travel to support accounts in a specified territory
