OUTREACH SALES COORDINATOR (FT)

Educators Rising, a division of PDK International, is looking for a dynamic of Outreach Sales Coordinator to manage accounts, marketing, and communications efforts primarily for our Educators Rising programs, movement, and impact.

The Outreach Sales Coordinator is a coordinator position that reports directly to the National Director of Outreach & Engagement who will work in partnership with the coordinator to execute the goals of the department.

THE POSITION
This is an exciting time for PDK’s Educators rising with growth in the interest from districts and states on our “grow your own” educator pathway initiatives, our commitment to diversity in education, and our efforts to inspire middle school, high school, and collegiate preservice candidates into education careers. We need someone as a hands-on team member who will help us scale our impact in the education community.

PRIMARY DUTIES 
  • Make outbound calls to contacts to secure sales.
  • Maintain excellent and consistent communication with clients.
  • Provide customer service to clients which includes follow-up.
  • Support the National Director of Outreach & Engagement to meet or exceed revenue targets and KPI goals.
  • Build and maintain client profiles in a CRM.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with state and district representatives through exceptional emotional intelligence and customer service skills. This includes engaging partners and delivering on meetings and presentations.
  • Establish and grow a customer base of K12 districts and schools and maintain records in the lead funnel database.
  • Employ effective consultative negotiation techniques including pre-call planning, effective opening, and productive questioning strategies that lead to a close.
  • Stay abreast of the industry space through market and competitive market and landscape analysis with an eye toward new opportunities.
  • Maintain expert product knowledge around the Educators Rising resources/support, the education industry, and factors influencing the market environment.
  • Travel to meet with partners, exhibit and/or present at conferences as deemed safe under COVID guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
  • 2 years of B2B sales experience
  • 2 years of CRM experience
  • Bachelor’s degree commensurate work experience.
  • Experience with the sales process and lead prospecting, acquisition, qualifying, and conversion. Includes experience with outbound calling approach and demonstrated ability to recognize underlying hesitations and overcome concerns. 
  • Exceptional communicator – verbal and written. 
  • Proven track record of excelling in a fast-paced work environment and managing time effectively. 
  • Confident, assertive, and goal oriented.
  • Exceptional communicator – verbal and written.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, compassion, and self-awareness combined with strength of conviction, and “steel” in the face of adversity. Oh, and humor, too.
Preferred:
  • 2 years sales experience in K12 education market. 
  •  Demonstrated understanding of school, district, and state education agency sales cycle, budget process, and purchasing process. 
  • Former educator with ability to open doors for new partnerships.

COMPENSATION
Educators Rising is prepared to offer a $45K to $50K as a base compensation for the role, depending on experience, as well as a competitive uncapped commission structure that can allow commissions to exceed the base salary. In addition, we offer a generous 403(b), PTO, and health benefits.
