What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at PDQ Workholding?
Responsibility: Assist the Controller and CFO with the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Accounting/Finance Operations departments. Interacting with all managers/directors for budgetary requirements, production needs and other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Controller or CFO.
Job Duties
Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments
Assist with the day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, fixed asset records, and cost accounting as required
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Work with customers, employees, and/or suppliers to resolve any disputes or problems in a timely, professional manner
Assure financial plans are consistent with company goals
Assist with Cash Flow Projections
Knowledge of Financial Models and strategic planning
Interface with outside audit firms, banks, insurance agents/companies, credit card companies, and collection agencies as required
Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial records for the CFO as required
Assist Controller, CFO and all managers and other employees as required
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree and/or 3 or more years of equivalent experience and education in accounting
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret excellent financial business practices, technical procedures, governmental regulations and to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints as they apply to the finance department or as required by the CFO.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of QuickBooks, financial software, Excel, Word, Outlook and others as required
· Must use the utmost discretion in all presentations, communications and other financial disclosure for staff and CFO as required
Special Circumstances
· Must be available to work flexible hours and on-call hours as required
· Must be able to work independently, discreetly; maintaining all confidentiality of financial records and knowledge as required by CFO
· Must interact skillfully and professionally with both management, customers, employees, and suppliers
