Specialized Experience at FP-4: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the federal service at the FP05 or GS09. which is experience developing and maintaining a strategic annual recruitment plan in accordance with the National Recruitment Strategy, National Recruitment Calendar and Annual Recruitment Planning Timeline and Guidance; conducting research and analysis on past recruitment practices and various talent market conditions to support development of future Volunteer recruitment strategies; and recruiting Campus Ambassadors, forges relationships with universities, and promotes university engagement programs as informed by the strategic direction of VRS leadership and University Programs Specialists.

Graduate Education: 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.
Part-time graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended.

Time-in-Grade Requirements:
You must meet applicable TIG requirements to be considered eligible. To meet TIG for positions above the GS-05 grade level, you must have served at least one year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade (or equivalent) in the normal line of progression for the position you are applying to. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume. Note: All current or former Federal employees (including internal employees) must provide a copy of their SF-50 (you may need to submit more than one), "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. Please note: Peace Corps employees are employed using the Foreign Personnel (FP) pay scale. The FP pay plan does not follow the same structure as the GS pay plan. In the FP pay plan, as the grade-level numbers decrease the level/pay for the position increases (e.g., the FP-09 is the lowest entry-level pay and the FP-01 is the highest senior-level pay).
Responsibilities:
This position is located in the Office of Recruitment and Diversity, within the Office of Volunteer Recruitment and Selection (VRS), Peace Corps, and reports directly to the Regional Recruitment Supervisor (RRS). The position may be located throughout the U.S. at one of the Peace Corps Regional Offices, or may work remotely from an alternate workstation. The incumbent serves as a Senior Recruiter to expand Peace Corps program awareness to new markets, especially in under-represented communities, and recruit qualified applicants for Volunteer services in the Peace Corps.
The Senior Recruiter performs the following major duties:
- Builds strategic and targeted relationships with community and professional organizations, key educational institutions include minority-serving organizations, other stakeholders and individuals to meet the Agency's Volunteer recruitment priorities.
- Uses traditional as well as digital and social recruiting techniques to proactively recruit qualified applicants for the Agency's Volunteer program.
- Mentors and trains junior recruiters, supports special projects and assignments of national scope, conducts market research and analysis to understand where diverse talent pools exist and works collaboratively with internal stakeholders to explore effective technical approaches to implement recruitment assignments.
- Develops and maintains a strategic annual recruitment plan in accordance with the National Recruitment Strategy, National Recruitment Calendar and Annual Recruitment Planning Timeline and Guidance.
- Sources new and diverse talent via professional and community organizations, affinity groups, faith- based organizations, college campus visits, career fairs, etc.
- Identifies and engages with leads that have the Volunteer core competencies for Peace Corps service and contribute to Peace Corps' diversity and equity priorities.
- Recruits Campus Ambassadors, forges relationships with universities, and promotes university engagement programs as informed by the strategic direction of VRS leadership and University Programs Specialists.
Salary : $62,523 - $91,817
