QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous nursing scheduling experience preferred
- Displays excellent verbal and and written communication skills
- Knowledge or general proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.
JOB SUMMARY: The Scheduler will help with scheduling nursing staff and assisting the current Director of Nursing with various projects. Experience as a Staffing Cordinator at a LongTerm Care Facility (Nursing Home) is required. Must be a team player with good multi-tasking skills, who is willing to learn and adapt with company policies and residential needs.
JOB DUTIES:
- Create and maintain staff schedules, track attendance, monitor lateness and absences, and provide reports to management related to productive and non-productive hours
- Create and post monthly staff schedules, track and post changes and approve trades in the absence of the DON or as delegated by DON
- Assign shifts with scheduling application to provide staff members with a mobile schedule, as well as physical schedule in facility
- Maintain timely records of call-offs, tardys and early arrivals and coordinate daily with HR to ensure attendance policies are administered promptly and fairly
- Provide accurate and timely reports to DON, Facility Administrator and management on issues relating to staffing, vacancies and agency use, or other topics as assigned
- Prepare and submit accurate, complete payroll reports on a timely basis, including editing timecards on scheduling application
- Assemble a master schedule in accordance with PPD and report vacancies as needed to Administrator and/or DON
