Specialist Alliance/Partnership Management
The Pearson Clinical Field Research team is responsible for collecting research data in support of product development for the Pearson Clinical business. Pearson Field Research contracts with Psychologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other such professionals to function as examiners who identify potential candidates, administer the assessments, and return the results back to Pearson. For Pearson to be successful, we must continuously maintain a pool of Examiners that have access to the types of candidates needed for upcoming research projects. Maintaining our examiner pool requires developing and fostering ongoing relationships, engaging with them to provide opportunities to maintain their motivation to continue their work with us over the long term. This requires ongoing analysis of our upcoming research needs and then targeted recruiting and onboarding of these professionals, as well as supporting them to continuously recruit and onboard candidates that are needed for our project needs.
The candidate for this position will be responsible for identifying and fostering relationships to support our work needs. This will involve recruiting new individual candidates through marketing, or social media campaigns, attending professional conferences, use of personal or professional networks, and in some cases making cold calls to potential sites or entities. We are eager to develop strong relationships with sites (such as universities, long-term care facilities, day care facilities, etc.) or other such partners to support our data collection efforts. These relationships and interactions with Examiners as well as our internal Pearson Development staff and other internal stakeholders are the key to our success.
This position will be a mix of strategic planning and execution and developing ongoing relationships. The candidate for this position will work closely with the Director and other team members within the Field Research Department looking 12-15 months out to determine upcoming research needs and working to ensure we have the examiners and test candidates we need to execute each project, on-time, and on-budget with high quality.
As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is a minimum salary of $80,000. Key Responsibilities:
- Ongoing analysis of database of examiners and test candidates to identify use patterns, availability of hard-to-find populations
- Identify Examiners/Candidate needs and gaps for upcoming research projects
- Identify ‘hard to find’ populations and develop and implement strategies to meet these needs through targeted recruiting efforts
- Coordinate with Clinical Assessments Marketing to plan appropriate Marketing Campaign(s) (e-mail, social, conferences) to recruit examiners for upcoming projects
- Develop new engagement opportunities for existing Examiners – (ex. have examiners function as recruiters, establish network within each region, assisting with IRB documentation)
- Build programs to deepen our engagement and participation with examiners
- Track new leads (examiners or examinees) through becoming active examiners
- Solicit feedback from Examiners re: the examiner experience and work with Dir Field Research and FR Team to implement continuous improvements
- Develop effective communications to use in recruiting or other needs for our projects, including invitation letters, marketing recruiting, appreciation/participation messages
- Facilitate planning and strategy sessions with internal Field Research team in anticipation for new data collection Projects
- Work with Content Development and Field Research Teams to develop and implement strategies for data collection success (such as preparing messaging for marketing, determining segmentation plans, personal connections from Content Development, etc.)
Requirements:
- Background in Speech Pathology, Psychology, or Special Education– including at least 5-7 years in clinical practice, OR
- Background in Marketing, Business communications
- Other related work experience considered in lieu of above
- Proven track record of working with stakeholders to develop win-win solutions
- Highly goal oriented, assertive, and hands on problem solver; ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to adjust messaging to reach different audiences
- Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of organizations
- Comfortable working with technology and social media platforms
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of Products
Preferred:
- Strong knowledge or understanding of how clinical professions of Speech Pathology, Psychologists, or Occupational Therapists work
- Previous experience as a Pearson or other company Field Research or Data Collection Examiner a plus
- Professional with established networks within the above-mentioned professions
