Classroom Assessment Products Trainer
The Clinical Assessment division is in search of a Classroom Assessment Products (CAP) Trainer with a background in social, emotional, and behavioral factors that impact mental health and academics for preK-12 students. The CAP Trainer develops and delivers product training and professional development on a variety of behavior and SEL assessment tools.
The ideal candidate will have experience in screening, monitoring, and intervening with students who are at social, emotional, or behavioral risk. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven facilitation skills when teaching adult learners.
Minimum Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of MTSS (Multi Tiered Systems of Support), PBIS (Positive and Behavioral Intervention and Supports), ABA, and Special Education regulations.
Familiarity with interpreting and using assessment data in school settings.
Experience conducting needs assessments with customers to generate appropriate solutions.
Adept at writing narratives and pricing for RFQs/RFPs.
Master's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or closely related field.
Three years of experience working with students with learning and behavior challenges and administering and interpreting preK-12 social, emotional, and behavioral assessments. (Bachelor's degree with 6 years experience may be considered).
Experience supporting trainers within the field.
Ability to travel, especially during peak season (July-October)
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience using Review360, BASC-3 BESS, SSIS SEL and training others in the use of these tools.
Understanding the integration of SEL and achievement measures and their application in school settings.
ABA and/or SEL certificate.
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $60,000 - $65,000.
