Job Overview:
The Salesforce Delivery Manager is responsible for leading and managing Salesforce implementation and enhancement projects. This includes planning, execution, and delivery of solutions on time, within scope, and on budget. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and third-party vendors to ensure that Salesforce solutions drive business value and customer success.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Delivery:
Manage end-to-end delivery of Salesforce projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Work collaboratively with Business partners for building business cases.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Lead project teams through all phases, from requirement gathering and design to deployment and post-implementation support.
Team & Stakeholder Management:
Lead cross-functional teams, including Salesforce developers, administrators, business analysts, and third-party consultants.
Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are managed and aligned with project objectives.
Ensure effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
Risk & Issue Management:
Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies that could impact project success.
Develop contingency plans and mitigate risks to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Ensure quality assurance processes are followed, and solutions meet business and technical requirements.
Salesforce Solutions & Technical Expertise:
Provide subject matter expertise on Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud , etc.), best practices, and industry standards.
Collaborate with technical architects and developers to ensure the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions.
Stay up to date on Salesforce platform updates, releases, and new features, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization of Salesforce implementations.
Budget & Resource Management:
Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure efficient use of resources.
Forecast resource needs and ensure that project teams are adequately staffed to meet project goals.
Ensure that all financial aspects of the project, including invoicing and budget tracking, are accurately managed.
Reporting & Performance Tracking:
Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and performance to stakeholders and senior management.
Provide regular updates on project milestones, delivery timelines, and overall project health.
Establish metrics and KPIs to track the success of Salesforce implementations and ensure projects deliver the expected business outcomes.
Vendor & Partner Management:
Manage relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, and Salesforce partners.
Coordinate with external partners to ensure seamless integration of their services into Salesforce projects.
Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure the best value and alignment with project goals.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Consultant, Salesforce Project Manager) are preferred.
Experience:
5 years of experience managing Salesforce projects, with a track record of delivering successful implementations.
Experience in a delivery or project management role, with expertise in managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex technical solutions.
Salesforce Expertise:
Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities and experience with Salesforce modules (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud).
Knowledge of Salesforce architecture, customization, integration, and data migration best practices.
Project Management Skills:
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc)
Proficiency in managing budgets, schedules, resources, and risks.
Coordination with offshore DevOps team.
Leadership & Communication:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Additional Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Familiarity with change management and user adoption strategies.
Experience working in or with Salesforce partner organizations is a plus.
