As the Director of Sales, Workforce you will lead our Workforce Sales organization into the next phase of growth. Reporting directly to our VP of Sales, this position will have a huge impact on the future of our company. The Director of Sales, Workforce will lead the strategic direction and management of the Workforce sales team to fine-tune, optimize, scale and successfully drive short- and long-term objectives. As a trusted advisor, the Director of Sales, Workforce must be an authentic collaborator, strong leader and a proactive, strategic problem solver.

Who you are:
A genuine interest and excitement in striving toward ambitious goals, hiring and rallying a team around those goals, and leveraging data to help you achieve those goals via methodical execution.
Experience managing high performing teams of account executives (experience managing a full cycle team a plus)
Successful track record of collecting and managing business line forecasts with accuracy and predictability throughout the entire sales funnel. Refining and owning team pipelines and sales process from top of the funnel to close
Develop, empower and retain top performing leaders
Experience in selling vertical software to a range of buyer personas in a large total addressable market.
Demonstrated record of building and leading a sales team through rapid revenue growth
Set the sales strategy, improve the sales process, and increase sales team productivity
Work with marketing to improve demand gen and go-to-market strategies
A demonstrated track record of excellent outcomes in a growing organization.
Experience / Skills:
Deep experience in B2B consultative technology sales and management
Extensive experience initiating and growing customer relationships with those influential to and responsible for one or more of the following services and solutions: talent management; recruiting; learning and development (L&D); corporate training; reward/recognition/loyalty program; non-degree higher education programs, content or services; credentialing or certification; HR information systems; and/or employee benefits platforms
Enterprise SaaS sales experience, closing six figure deals
Experience hiring and managing a competitive sales team
Possess an understanding of the importance of hiring A-players every time, though is experienced in coaching and developing sales professionals
Experience defining and executing sales strategies and operations.
Excellent negotiation skills and experience developing and structuring agreements.
Results-oriented professional with strong work ethic and demonstrated success working independently.
Highly developed, strategic sales skills
Financial acumen, including sales forecasting, budgeting, metrics management, sales performance reporting as well as proactive risk mitigation and creative drive to close quarterly gaps

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
Minimum full-time salary range is between $150,000 - $160,000.
