Position Summary
Working from home as the Faculty Advisor, Mathematics (Development Mathematics, Corequisites Statistics, and Finite Mathematics), you will report to a Manager of Faculty Advisement Services - Customer Success. This position is for an individual who is driven to provide their pedagogical expertise with higher ed mathematics faculty members throughout the U.S. and Canada. You will be accountable for sharing your expertise on how to best align Pearson digital products to support mathematics courses learning outcomes and program goals. You will be expected to drive usage and value through leading outstanding webinars, publishing content and delivering best practices to meet the needs of today’s faculty and ultimately learners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will understand your role within Services and Pearson and how it ties back to the bigger picture of account strategy and sales. Understanding current Pearson initiatives, including Pearson’s Value Proposition, and Pearson’s Higher Ed Strategy. Using and sharing knowledge of the competitive landscape and market intelligence to enhance faculty experience.
- You will create better resources and delivery methods for mathematics faculty by being creative. Showing creativity in what and how faculty are delivering solutions and adding value to the customer experience.
- You will strategically identify and partner with faculty, department chairs and college administrators acting as a subject-matter expert to advise on the implementation of the Pearson digital product and to consult on the redesign of courses and/or curriculum.
- You will provide consultation on digital assessment, grading and reporting strategies. Demonstrating a deep understanding and best practices knowledge when integrating with a Learning Management System (LMS).
- You will ask questions, observe, and learn from other colleagues to prioritize adoptions and find solutions in a timely manner. Demonstrating versatility, flexibility, and confidence, particularly when faced with conflict or changes in scope and procedures.
- You will contribute to Voice of Customer programs that inform product development, roadmaps, releases, and service offers.
- You will be expected to keep pace with higher education product strategy, roadmaps, and releases.
- You will provide leadership by sharing best practices around faculty engagement with Sales, Marketing & Services colleagues.
- You will connect faculty to resources, training, and best practices consistently and accurately. Demonstrating effective presentation skills. Excelling at using questions and presentation style to impact the faculty.
- You will perform additional duties as assigned.
- You will travel up to 15% of the year, as budgets allow, to meet with key customers, attend and/or lead conference sessions, and internal meetings.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Mathematics is required
- At least 5 years' teaching experience at the collegiate level in Development Mathematics, Corequisites Statistics, and Finite Mathematics is required
- Experience teaching with Pearson digital solutions is required
- Learning Management System (LMS) Experience is required
- High Achievement: Collegiate Teaching Award(s) preferred
The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $60 - 70K annually. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
