What are the responsibilities and job description for the Knowledge Base Manager position at Pearson?
What You'll Do
Develop the strategy for creation, development, maintenance and archiving of critical self help knowledge for internal and external users.
Develop the processes and tools to build, share and develop knowledge base within Pearson Higher Ed.
Partner with product, engineering, support and experience design colleagues to define the process for sharing information with internally and external customers
Designing the guidelines, rules, and standards of excellence that will help reach those target behaviors
Developing mechanisms for information sharing with teams, enabling them to acquire new skills or upgrade existing ones
Developing mechanisms for information sharing with customers, informing them of product updates, upgrades and outages
Not only implementing and managing the tools, but creating and maintaining the associated processes and training.
Connecting with product and support teammates to make sure we are sharing the most current information on features, functionality of our products
Meeting and working with teammates with different roles, personalities, levels of experience, and workflows
Manage priorities across multiple initiatives, including establishing the criteria and identifying the stakeholders that will help you rank them and set appropriate timeframes.
Manage knowledge rather than people
Extreme proficiency in writing, as well as presentations and 1:1 conversations along
Understanding of template development, style guides, etc
Use of voice and branding to tailor comms to the appropriate end user types
Experience in experimental design and analysis (e.g., A/B and market-level experiments).
Experience working very closely with cross-functional product teams.
