Summary
The Manager, Conversion Rate Optimization is responsible for defining the market opportunities, marketing, & analysis/optimization of the organization's services and/or products which may include consumer & market insights, digital marketing, advertising, and analytics. They may be allocated to focus on a particular component of the marketing life cycle and or channel.
General Responsibilities
- Design and define website conversion rate optimization roadmap/testing strategy with a deep understanding of business priority for academic partners. Executing those strategies with measurable business impact as well as building consensus with stakeholders along the way
- Lead A/B testing for Academic Partners by both doing and managing Pearson resources in research, Business Intelligence & analytics, design, and development
- Perform website audits and provide strategic recommendations based on UX best practices
- Identify bottlenecks and conversion optimization opportunities by researching how users behave on our client’s/ Academic partner’s sites
- Draw conclusions from data and results, driving further testing across development, content, and UX improvements
- Build a roadmap of recommended changes and hypotheses for future tests
- Analyze test results (must understand statistical significance)
- Work closely with our development and design resources to build medium to high-level of effort tests
- Makes decisions using data, such as customer insights, web analytics, CVR analysis & UX/UI audits
Requirements:
- Ability to manage multiple Academic Partners and Vendors
- Takes end-to-end ownership with little supervision
- Attentive to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proactive and self-motivated to seek answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills
- Understands the relationship between online marketing, the website user experience, and their relationship to both customers and organizational goals
- Experience with conversion optimization testing tools such as Google Optimize, User Testing, or similar
- Advanced understanding of Web analytics such as Google Analytics, Data Studio, GlassBox, and/or others
Skills & Knowledge:
- 4-year degree from an accredited institution in Marketing or equivalent discipline OR appropriate combination of experience and education
- Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with A/B testing and testing platforms, such as Google Optimize
- Can build and deploy the tests using front-end development skills using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create and edit landing pages
- Deep understanding of user experience best practices; proven ability to successfully partner across an organization including Analytics, Brand/Creative Marketing, Web Strategy, and Development to craft a holistic plan and roadmap
- Understanding of how to gather data-driven insights from program performance and develop recommendations to drive continuous improvement in results
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
Minimum full-time salary range is between $90,000 - $95,000. This position is not bonus eligible, and information on benefits offered is here.
