Performance Engineering plays an integral role ensuring that our customers have a highly available and seamless products & platform. The Performance Engineering team is seeking candidates for a Performance Leader who will help build a culture of speed, innovation, collaboration, and ownership moving forward. You will be responsible for building a strong team of contributors who work well together and raise the bar for a good working environment.
We are currently looking for professionals for our Center of Excellence practice with extensive experience in the following:
- Identifies, develops, and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to effectively plan and deliver solutions within a complex business environment in a varied and dispersed geography, consisting of Higher Education, Digital & Technology, Pearson Test for English and Technology Assurance
- Projects portfolio, facilitates project health reviews, project manages key business initiatives and provides a reporting function with management dashboards to focus decisions and improve business accountability, decision making, transparency and visibility
- Tracks and reports sprints/open tasks/epics/backlog status via clear dashboards
- Identify and onboard business critical applications in Capacity Planning dashboard to forecast future production workload volumes
- Production Server Sizing and Production capacity planning for Data Center to Cloud migrations
- Review Performance Test Plans, scripts, and results along with Product & Engineering Teams
- Provide recommendations in improving the application Performance and Response Time SLAs
- Establish industry best practices and standards for enhancing Performance Engineering goals and deliver through tools like JMeter, Microfocus LoadRunner.
- Manifest Performance engineering goals and drive adoption of across business units
- Develop Resiliency Test framework to improve application availability and fault tolerance
- Manage and monitor the Performance Cloud Infrastructure (AWS and LoadRunner Enterprise)
- Technical Lead and mentor engineers on Performance Engineering & Resiliency
- Establish performance objectives and update in accordance with changing requirements.
- Conduct and present statistical performance analysis with identification and reporting of technical barriers to performance.
- Recommend solutions for resolving performance barriers.
- Provide training and development to other Task Order managers on best practices.
- Lead, develop, and inspire teams.
Requirements:
- Experience as a leader of Performance Engineering (or Site Reliability) as an exceptional technical manager, preferably managing globally distributed teams.
- Self-starter mindset – resourceful, creative, and a see it, own it mindset.
- You’ve created high-performing, fun environments with accountability and results.
- Deep understanding and commitment to software engineering principles/processes (e.g., Lean, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, TDD) and continuous improvement through measurement.
- Strong communicator across teams, time zones/locations and formats.
The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $130-145K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
