Summary – Marketing Campaign Strategist
Pearson’s Higher Education Marketing organization is seeking a Marketing Campaign Strategist to join a highly collaborative and fast-moving team dedicated to driving modern marketing campaigns for our digital higher education courseware products and platforms. In this role you will partner cross-functionally to develop marketing tactics designed to engage with various audience segments supporting the higher education sales team. This role is critical in reaching the marketing pipeline goals set by Pearson, aligned to the sales revenue targets.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of creating marketing strategies that can be delivered across digital/inbound and outbound channels to drive engagement. This position requires a high level of creativity and innovation, as well as the ability to use data-driven insights to create and optimize multi-touch marketing programs. A successful candidate will have a passion for taking the complex and making it simple and should be detail-oriented, agile, and committed to meeting tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with subject matter experts and sales teams to understand the business priorities and incorporate the needs of the business into integrated marketing strategies.
- Apply a balance of analytical and strategic thinking skills, while being focused on producing and executing high quality campaigns.
- Proactively engage with the sales and product teams to coordinate, communicate, and prioritize the impact of marketing activities.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, development of campaigns to support a subset of offerings. Delivering on KPIs and communicating results.
- Design and execute strategic marketing campaigns across a broad mix of tactics including marketing automation that achieve MQL and pipeline goals.
- Focus on website optimization, analyzing user behavior and implementing testing to drive deeper user engagement and conversions.
- Collaborate with key colleagues to develop virtual and in-person events and webinar strategies to reach customers and prospects.
- Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness with a focus on the customer journey.
- Partner with internal marketing teams to measure and analyze marketing campaigns, demand waterfall, and establish a regular reporting cadence with marketing and sales counterparts to drive decisioning.
- Prepare & present materials/findings both internally and externally for the marketing communications area supported.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years of B2B experience in campaign strategy marketing models
- Prior experience in successfully working with transformational sales team to achieve mutual results.
- Ability to think strategically, prioritize tasks, and execute with attention to detail
- Knowledge of best practices in modern marketing campaign strategy development and persona-centric content creation.
- Familiarity with SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, Salesforce & Pardot
- Energetic, high performer with a willingness to take initiative and be resourceful
- Creative thinker who is adept at working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable adding new ideas.
- Excellent ideation and strategic problem-solving skills to guide team discussion and problem solving with consideration of multiple factors and stakeholders.
As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $85k - $95k.
