Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Program Manager to lead our company's technical projects and programs. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the execution of multiple large-scale technical projects from inception to completion. You will be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of products and services. You will also be responsible for identifying risks and creating mitigation strategies to ensure project timelines are met. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in program management, leadership, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
- Create project plans and schedules, and manage project timelines, resources, and budgets
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including requirements, risk assessments, and project status reports
- Drive decision-making and resolve conflicts with cross-functional teams
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and executive leadership
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and partners
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to other program managers and project teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in program management or a related field
- Strong project management skills, including project planning, risk management, and resource allocation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders, including executive leadership
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles and project management tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Project

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The full-time salary range is between $130,000 - 150,000 per year.
