Job Description
As the Brand and Thought Leadership Marketer for Pearson Higher Education’s B2B Marketing team, you’ll play a leading role in telling higher education faculty and administrators the story of Pearson - the world’s leading learning company, dedicated to helping everyone realize the life they’ve imagined.
In this role, you’ll gather insights from faculty and administrators and conduct research to understand trends and issues in higher education. You’ll work with key subject matter experts from across Pearson’s Higher Education vertical to understand Pearson’s mission and strategy. You’ll synthesize this information to develop brand and thought leadership messaging and a go to market plan to activate that messaging with key audiences. You’ll work closely with Pearson’s corporate brand and marketing teams to ensure that your messaging and plan are closely aligned with corporate’s messaging and strategy. And you’ll work across the B2B Marketing team and the B2B Sales team to ensure that Pearson’s brand and thought leadership stories are told consistently through product campaigns and sales engagements.
The ideal candidate for this role is a master storyteller with a keen customer focus who takes an ownership mindset in their work. Collaboration and leadership through influence are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Partner with corporate brand and marketing teams and stakeholders from across the Higher Education vertical to develop focused thought leadership messaging and a go to market plan
- Work with the Campaign Specialist and Social Media Manager on an integrated campaign plan to bring the strategy to life through a variety of channels
- Work with the Content Marketing team on the development and creation of content and assets needed to activate brand and thought leadership messages
- Develop tools and collateral that help the Higher Ed B2B Sales team tell a consistent and compelling brand and thought leadership story and partner with the Sales Enablement team on sales training
- Measure campaign results and leverage performance data to optimize campaigns in real-time and inform future campaign plans
- Regularly conduct customer insight work and develop personas that define key audiences to help drive message development and activation
- Collaborate with marketers across the B2B Marketing team to align brand and thought leadership messaging across all B2B Campaigns
- Promote a transparent, accessible, and inclusive culture where employees are encouraged to learn more about themselves and others
The anticipated starting salary for candidates expressing interest in this position is $105 K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.

Qualifications
- College degree required
- 3 years marketing experience required
- Brand/thought leadership marketing experience preferred
- B2B industry marketing experience required
- Higher education marketing experience preferred
- Strong storytelling skills
- Proven collaboration skills and the ability to lead through influence
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data and insight to inform, measure, optimize, and document the performance of go to market strategy
- High integrity, energy, and a desire to work in a results-oriented, diverse team environment
