What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Manager position at Pearson?
Core Job Duties:
- Schedule daily planned organic and paid social media content for Pearson Clinical Facebook (@PearsonAssessmentsUS), Twitter (@PearsonAssessUS), LinkedIn (@Pearson-assessments-us), Youtube (@PearsonAssessmentsUS), and instagram (@PearsonAssessmentsUS) accounts.
- Coordinate on campaign and social media efforts with Marketing Strategists, Project Managers, and Designers across Clinical Assessment markets (e.g. Healthcare, Education, and Therapeutics, and Pharma).
- Provide feedback and insights with analytics on social media campaigns and through social listening
- Boost organic social with paid support where necessary
- Handle YouTube video uploads, video edits, and page builds.
- Monitor customer questions and issues via platform post comments and inbox messages.
- Coordinate regularly with Customer Support and Product Support teams to bubble up and resolve issues.
- Leverage Asana to track and assign project workflows: YouTube Upload Form, Social Publishing Form, Social Calendar.
- Build custom UTM URL tracking parameters for outgoing links.
- Work on global social media policies, strategy, and training for a wide range of topics
Desired Aptitudes:
- Sprinklr social media publishing, label usage, and ad hoc report filtering. (Or other enterprise social publishing tool experience.)
- YouTube Studio video editing and coherent page construction.
- Paid social considerations, activation, maintenance, and budgeting on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube (Google PPC) - Boost to followers and targeting depending on platform capabilities.
- Professional customer service engagement and routing of issues to appropriate teams in a timely manner.
- Experience with Campaign ideation with Marketing Managers to advise on potential post formats and cadence.
- Experience with Asana or other project management tools for daily work assignments and workflows.
- Comfortable with interpreting Google Analytics and other data dashboards for actionable insights.
- Sharing social insights rooted in data with key stakeholders.
- Comfort working in tools and directly on each platform without mistakes.
- Minor copy-editing skills to provide final quality assurance of copy before scheduling.
- Clear communication and follow-through of established processes.
- Attention to detail is a must
Requirement:
- BS/BA degree in PR, marketing, communications, business, or similar OR a degree in Psychology with 3 years' experience in digital marketing
- 3 years' experience in professional social media account management with accounts in excess of 10,000 followers.
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. As required by the Colorado and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
Minimum full-time salary range is between $60,000 - $75,000.
