Job Summary :
The Retail Shops Manager is responsible for ensuring shop managers and associates consistently exemplify Pebble Beach Company’s mission statement.
Achieve each shops sales goal by coaching and training managers and associates to build individual sales volume thru clientele by establishing and maintaining guest relationships.
Strive to achieve each shop’s sales goals by encouraging cross-selling across all shops. The successful candidate develops managers and associates by monitoring overall performance and achieving and exceeding results.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Model Pebble Beach Company’s mission Exceed the expectations of every guest by providing a once in a lifetime experience every time.
- Manage and oversee multiple shops’ P&L.
- Achieve and exceed each shops’ sales goals.
- Ensure managers and associates are certified in Pebble Beach Retail Training.
- Comply with Retail Quest for Knowledge Program.
- Recruit, train and develop managers and associates.
- Develop and encourage managers and associates to build strong external and internal guest relationships by utilizing POS tools to record and maintain guest information / preferences.
- Ensure managers and associates contact external and internal guests thru personalized cards, telephone, and other means of individualized communication.
- Participate in Retail Division initiatives, including, selling floor maintenance, semi-annual inventory, sale events, stock maintenance and merchandising.
Required Skills :
- Experience with budgeting, profit & loss, and shortage control.
- Manage, develop, and motivate staff.
- Financial and analytical ability.
- Retail math acumen, including markup, markdown, gross margin, OTB, inventory productivity measures.
- Understanding of merchandise flow and transition.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office, NeXT, and POS.
- Ability to work in a high-performance / multi-task environment.
- Ability to develop strong relationships and cross-functional efforts across all levels of the organization.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule based on business requirements; evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Exude passion for the business.
