POSITION SUMMARY:
The Fleet Representative will be responsible for picking up pallets by planning and executing daily pallet recovery visits from a high number of low volume pallet recyclers, NPD accounts, and other unknown locations in the territory while complying with all applicable FMCSR and DOT Regulations and laws. They will utilize tools to educate the current and unknown locations on PECO pallets and return program, utilize PECO’s ARP the return of company assets, and identify misuse situations while working closely with Recovery Account Managers to resolve any issues. The Fleet Rep will collaborate both externally and internally, while prioritizing the recovery team’s immediate needs and balancing the needs of the NPD/Recycler customer base with the needs of the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operate a 20’-26’ box truck with lift-gate in compliance with all DOT regulations and PECO safety expectations. This includes all applicable State and Federal Commercial truck driving safety regulations and standards.
- Complete and record a daily pre and post vehicle inspection in JJKeller.
- Complete daily HOS log using ELOG system. (JJ Keller).
- Ensure compliance with DOT requirements including weigh stations and pass DOT Roadside Inspections.
- Safely operate a pallet jack as well as use proper handling procedures while loading and unloading pallets.
- Comply with PPE requirements including gloves, hard hat, steel toed shoes.
- Work and review with account managers and logistic coordinators to construct daily/weekly routes including flexibility and prioritize schedule for new stops.
- . Must work a minimum of 40 hours per workweek to meet the demand of pickups necessary in an assigned territory.
- Build relationships with the on-site pick-up personnel at depots, pallet recyclers, renters, distributors, and NPDs within their assigned territory by making regular visits.
- Complete a Return Note identifying the number of pallets collected and the location providing a copy to the recycler, the drop off depot and one for the Fleet Reps records.
- Enter each stop into CRM daily with pallet counts for visit documentation as well as enter the pallet return into Red Link when delivering to a depot.
- Utilize google maps and visual inspection to determine the safety of an unknown location. Notify the Logistics Coordinator if the location is deemed unsafe and move on to the next stop.
- Meet Fleet Rep metrics including pallets recovered, visits logged, truck utilization and HOS.
- Identify and recommend process improvements utilizing PECO’s LEAN continuous improvement training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to pass the DOT Physical Examination -No CDL requirement.
- See physical qualifications for driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle (DOT Medical Examination)
Skills & Experience Required:
- Must be able to lift 65 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Takes initiative; Ability to work independently to drive results.
- Computer knowledge including Apple Applications, Incl MS office (Outlook, CRM, redlink,jjkeller)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to properly influence internally and externally.
- Organizational, communication, problem solving, analytical and time management skills.
- Must reside within region/territory assigned to the position.
- Responsible for personal transportation to and from truck storage location.

Travel:
- Travel based on business needs, will require up to 40%
- Travel will include overnights needed for long-distance pickups that may extend outside your region, based on business needs. Additional travel may be needed for meetings or other business needs.
