POSITION PURPOSE 

The Director at The Farm by Pediatrics Plus is responsible for the overall administration of the site Applied Behavior Analysis, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy department. He/She will coordinate and direct the professional and non-professional staff of the department with respect to the care of pediatric patients. At The Farm by Pediatrics Plus, Director will be responsible for participating in direct patient care per the needs of the site. The Director will also be responsible for the administration and operation of department direction, revenue control, cost containment, expense control, quality of services, records management, supervision/direction of assigned personnel, department image and special demands and requirements. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES 

  • Leads by example and ensures the Pediatrics Plus culture is reinforced in all decision- making for the site therapy program 

  • Leads and holds therapy team members accountable for following all company policies, licensing and funding requirements 

  • Leads and oversees administrative coordinators, cleaning team, grounds keeper, animal care team and/or other support team members as needed 

  • Responsible for caseload management and overall efficiency of therapy at site 

  • Communicates hiring needs to recruitment and human resources in a proactive manner 

  • Assists recruiting with events and presentations 

  • Hires team members for the therapy and support staff team that are in alignment with the culture, vision, and values of Pediatrics Plus 

  • Engages and contributes to strategic and streamline planning for the therapy team during collaborative meetings 

  • Attends and is an active participant in weekly director meetings 

  • Problem solves needs and strengths of the site and discerns specific information to be communicated to supervisor in a timely and professional manner 

  • Creates and manages all aspects of the site therapy budget including revenue, expenses, payroll 

  • Anticipates and plans for needed changes based on trends, regulations and data analytics 

  • Assists with marketing events as needed and/or requested 

  • Will be responsible for administering treatment and evaluation services per the needs of the site 

  • May perform other related and non-related duties, as assigned 

  • Maintains quality assurance measures as provided by Pediatrics Plus administration 

Qualifications


Education/Certification:

  • Graduate of an accredited university with a Bachelors degree.
  • Preference of a Masters degree in a rehabilitation related field.
  • Current license and certification for rehabilitation related field in Arkansas.

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Minimum of three (3) years broad clinical experience is preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
  • Must be able to work with children birth to age 21 and families who are at risk.
  • Knowledge of various funding source guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills which includes a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to function independently in all aspects, including project identification, evaluation, contract negotiations, and coordination with management and internal departments.
  • Ability to represent the company in a confident, persuasive and positive manner.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under stress and respond quickly in emergency situations.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational, clinical and referral development systems.
  • Ability to work effectively within a complex matrix organization.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, physicians, clients, customers, field clinicians, and the public.
