Fast paced pathology laboratory seeking motivated individual to join our staff.
Potential candidates must have excellent verbal communication and organizational skills, analytic and diagnostic reasoning skills, strict attention to detail and the ability to work in a high volume lab setting is a must. Knowledge of PC applications required.
Under the direction of the supervisor and medical director performs processing, describing, and dissecting biopsy specimens. Receives training and instruction in describing and dissecting surgical resection specimens. Prepares frozen section tissue and slides for rapid diagnosis. Accessions and performs data entry of patient and specimen information as required, performs general lab functions, maintains laboratory equipment, supplies and records.
Shift is Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00 pm with some call time required. The position offers excellent benefits and salary commensurate with experience. Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, allied health sciences or related field required.
