Roles & Responsibilities
- Pre-qualify new business according to agency standards; completes (or receives completed) new business applications from Risk Advisors and forwards to insurance carriers
- Prepare proposals and complete applications in coordination with Risk Advisors; submits applications to eligible and appropriate carriers
- Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals for account review
- Remarket renewals, contact clients, and handle other renewal activities in coordination with the Risk Advisor
- Order and issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items verifying their accuracy, forwarding to client with appropriate correspondence
- Maintain and update files in document management system and online platforms
- Process incoming mail requests, responding promptly and appropriately
- Process requests from applicable third parties to capture, update, or retrieve information related insured clients and their policies
- Actively seek referrals from current client base; follow up to generate new business
- Verify new policies, renewal policies, and endorsements received from carriers verifying their accuracy; facilitating corrections when necessary
- Create or review reports generated from within the agency to assist in the communication of retention; create or review reports for carriers to assist in the underwriting process
- Accept and/or post walk-in payments and filing appropriate documentation and uploading record of payment to appropriate company; make deposits of client payments; follow proper internal cash handling procedures
- Assist and inform clients with the process of submitting first reports of claim
- Attend required educational opportunities, internal meetings, and team updates
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a cooperative spirit within the agency

Additional Considerations
The Account Manager role will have a focus on supporting a fast-growing environment while owning your own success. Obtaining and maintaining a Property & Casualty insurance license is required. Education or experience with insurance and/or risk management is preferred.
