What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at Peerless-Winsmith?
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth and capturing market share through the promotion and sale of Winsmith products to the distributor sales channel. Success in this position will align to goals of the business leaders, partner with the field sales team, make effective sales calls to assigned accounts to achieve year over year sales growth within their territory of responsibility. The role is based in Springville, NY and will report to the Sales Operations Manager.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
· Leverage outbound calls to assigned accounts and end users to grow channel partner relationships
· Manage sales activity within the assigned territories to meet or exceed sales targets
· Utilize email and social media to enhance the effectiveness of phone calls to prospects
· Deliver and prepare sales calls and presentations to persuade potential customers to purchase a product or service utilizing web conference technologies
· Utilize lead and quote generation follow up to close the sales cycle from inquiry to order
· Maintain comprehensive records of contacts, accounts, and orders
· Assist with uncovering needs as part of targeted programs developed by sales and marketing
· Launch, present and promote incentives designed to meet short and long term objectives of the team
Combined Experience and Education Required
· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field with at least 2 years of inside sales experience in an industrial or technical field OR
· Associates degree in business, marketing or related field with at least 4 years of inside sales experience in an industrial or technical field OR
· More than 5 years of inside sales experience in an industrial or technical field
Technical Skills
· Advance level skill with all MS Office products, lead software programs, and social media
· Analytical skills to monitor, review and report effectiveness of promotions, distribution channel sales, funnel activity, and sales programs
Travel Required
· Travel to customers and end users as required by business needs, approximately 15%
· Must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
