The Food Service Worker assists the café by stocking food and beverages. This position may serve food and perform cashiering duties as appropriate
Essential Job Functions
- Completes daily preparation for breakfast and assists in lunch set up and tear down
- Maintains supply of product needs and services; communicates with supervisor to restock items
- Maintains and records daily temperature charts, reports any temperature violations found
- Assists with onsite coffee shop functions, as needed
- Upholds Health Department requirements and always remains inspection-ready
- Cleans and maintains work areas, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor
- Communicates with staff about production needs and assists team when necessary to business demands
- Meets customers’ needs with the appropriate sense of urgency
- Assists with cashiering duties while exhibiting excellent customer service and professionalism
- Plans and prioritizes assigned job duties
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Typically requires 0-2 years of related experience
