PenFed is hiring a Human Resources, Data Analyst. The primary purpose of this position is to conduct business data analysis, and create and manage related reports, with a particular focus on Human Resources data and trends. The incumbent employs macros and SQL queries to conduct analysis of large data sets coming from various sources. This position will design and develop departmental reports and dashboards and ensure proper production and maintenance of these resources. This role works with end users and customers to understand business requirements and functional specifications. The incumbent will provide technical support, training, and assistance to the HR department and outside personnel for the various systems used.

- Manages, creates, upgrades, and maintains departmental ad hoc and scheduled reports for Human Resources department.
- Leads implementation of analytics platform, Visier, for new Talent Acquisition module and ongoing implementation of new features and capabilities.
- Monitors daily data integration to ensure data accuracy.
- Extracts and collects data from multiple systems and data repositories for regular reporting and adhoc reporting.
- Develops and uses models and analytical techniques to help identify specific areas to aid in data driven decisions and enhance HR programs.
- Works with HR functional areas and business leaders to design and create reports and analyses to monitor and measure key business processes.
- Collects data on payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, employment records, and exit interviews. Uses experience and judgment to identify key trends, emerging opportunities, and/or risks in the business process.
- Prepares summary reports for all levels of management within PenFed, including reports suitable for the Executive team and Board members.
- Develops and administers quality control reporting to monitor transactional activity and maintain accuracy for all HR data.
- Implements relevant HR metrics to determine the efficiency and impact of the workforce.
- Analyzes data and statistics for trends regarding recruitment practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws.

Qualifications
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Mathematics or Computer Science. Relevant degree which provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions is required.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with HR data and analytics using tools such as SQL, Monarch, Tableau, etc.
- Proven ability to use data to illustrate business performance, trends, options and risks. Develops materials for all levels of the company, from operational to C-level audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
- Working knowledge of SQL databases required. Advanced ability working with large data sets, databases and combining data from various data sources to generate reports and analytics.
- Significant Microsoft Excel skills and experience, Tableau, and Visier strongly preferred.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Travel
Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
