PenFed is hiring a Senior Business Analyst at our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this job is to be responsible for detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, delivering initiatives and defining some testing criteria.
Provide leadership, training, coaching and guidance to other analysts.
Participate in and lead meetings and presentations for reviews of business processes, status and risk mitigants.
Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional individual contributors and leaders.
Manage projects, developing action plans and monitoring performance.
Uncover and understand external and internal stakeholder needs and translate them into requirements.
Document user interfaces, data definitions, data mapping and rules.
Ability to work well with internal teams, including other product owners, developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and
operations. Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
Provide training and answer questions on how to use the product.
Frequent communication of roadmap, risk, analysis and apply feedback with leaders and individual contributors.
Use database queries to analyze performance indicators, evaluate experiments, etc.
Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.
Troubleshoot critical third party and proprietary issues to resolution.
Ensure the technical team works on the right things from the stakeholder’s perspective
Independent problem solver leverages multiple technology solutions and manage multiple deliverables at one time.
Education and Experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered
Bachelor’s Degree in related field is preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing business analysis.
Experience with agile environment and SQL is required.
Experience with Confluence Jira is preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise and the opportunity to work remotely.
*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*
Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call is required.
