Product Manager - Server Hardware

Responsibilities

Summary:

The Product Manager will focus on HPC/AI Datacenter Hardware Platform, analyzing data and market trends. The Product Manager contributes to the overall Datacenter Hardware roadmap, planning and oversees the NPI product development from concept, development, product launch, and throughout the entire product life cycle, interfacing with other domain expertise including but not limited to Product Engineering. This position requires synergy with cross-functional groups enabling HPC, Cloud and AI solutions with Software, Support, and Professional/Managed Services.

This role requires being able to bring insights on trends of major server platforms, such as X86, and components technology trends, and collaborate with the account team and engineering team to identify Product Requirement Document (PRD) that best captures the total addressable market. The ideal candidate should also have the ability to effectively communicate with our ODM and technology partners to influence the key product decisions and to ensure the decisions are aligned with Penguin Solution’s product strategies and Corporate direction.

We are seeking a self-driven and strong cross functional team leadership person who is able to collaborate with the teams including sales, engineering, marketing, operations, supply chain, finance etc. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the product roadmap and prioritize server platform product features
• Evaluate in-depth market analysis and leads business case for optimization of existing products/solutions alternatives and/or to advocate for new features
• Identify market position and define KPI/success metrics to measure product's growth
• Provide management team with analysis and reports of product P&L and respond to questions and requirements from the executive team
• Oversee the design, development, and manufacturing of each product and plan the product launch with cross functional teams
• Work closely with the internal Solution Group (Hardware, Software, Solution Architect), field team, and key external partners to execute toward the platform roadmap and turn breakthrough technologies into products
• Build and maintain platform configurable systems, including managing component AVL per product
• Work closely with the Solution Group and Marketing team to deliver products to market 
• Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet technical, financial, and strategic goals
• Internal product training

Important Skills

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years hands on experiences of product management, product launch, technical program management, or related work experiences.
• Experience in product end to end delivery.
• Experience with effectively working with cross functional teams including partners, engineering, marketing, sourcing, supply chain, operations, finance, and legal.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent in technical and business languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• X86 system product management experience
