What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse position at Penn Engineering?
The warehouse specialist will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and accuracy are critical. This role will be responsible for incoming/outgoing shipping operations within the facility. Members of this team are responsible for preparing work orders, crating finished assemblies, and performing cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organizing the shipping, receiving, inventory, crating and materials areas
- Guaranteeing that all work orders and kits are pulled on time and 100% accurate to the engineering BOM
- Receiving and counting inventory items accurately against shipping documentation before entry into the JD Edwards system
- Patterning with the inventory team to manage and assess RMA items so they are received promptly and assigned to their appropriate warehouses
- Performing cycle counts to achieve an inventory that is 100% accurate
- Ensuring sales orders are pulled and packed efficiently to meet the shipping cut off time
- Using hand tools to prepare machine crates for the shipments
- Tracking, tracing, and updating the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Unloading trucks and deliveries and sorting and stocking receivables promptly
- Maintaining an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately
- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
- Other duties as necessary
