What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychology Adjunct IC position at Penn Foster?
Position Summary:
The Psychology Adjunct is responsible for providing instructional support through constructive, focused feedback to ensure students meet the established learning objectives. The primary function of the Psychology Adjunct is to evaluate and grade subjective assignments and projects on a consistent and professional basis to assist students in achieving their educational goals.
Essential Job Functions:
- Objectively and accurately evaluate subjective exams and projects against established grading keys and rubrics.
- Provide clear and effective feedback to students in a timely manner.
- Complete the necessary steps to ensure that grades are properly recorded with the school.
- Correspond with students or administration as may be required by the assignment evaluation.
- Graders may provide input to instructional staff regarding areas of student difficulty.
- Graders may be asked to develop grading rubrics as directed by the instructional staff.
- Participate in special grading projects which may be required by the instructional staff.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Must possess a minimum Master degree in Psychology. Prior teaching experience a plus.
Other Requirements:
Must have excellent computer skills. Ability to work independently, think critically, communicate effectively and efficiently, multitask, and enjoy being part of a team.
