SUMMARY OF POSITION :

Provide specialty specific support to department providers, operations team and leadership related to coding, charge capture, documentation and regulatory requirements necessary for maintaining optimal business practices and results.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’s Degree plus four (4) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required

Experience with data manipulation and analysis using software such as Excel is required

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or other Coding certificate required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Ideal candidate will have experience in specialty specific coding, preferably in an academic medical center setting.

Experience in training situations ranging from 1:1 to large groups of providers would be helpful.
