Job Responsibilities
Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Welding Inspector with experience consistent, but not limited to:
- Working in the field at construction sites in the Delaware Valley as a quality assurance representative inspecting structural steel building construction
- Performing visual and nondestructive testing
- Monitoring structural steel erection, including placement, welding, bolting, and decking
- Reviewing drawings and specifications
- Coordinating with contractors, engineers, owners, and our project team
- Preparing daily written field reports, which may include photographs and sketches
Required Attributes:
- High School Diploma
- 0-3 minimum years of experience
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
- AWS-CWI or CAWI required
- ICC preferred, but not required
- MT and UT preferred, but not required
Preferred Attributes:
- Willing to work in the field performing some physical work
- Capable of working from a ladder or scaffold and work at heights
- Responsible and dependable with good character
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and write in English
- Dependable transportation
- Able to work construction hours, which may include overtime
- Willing to obtain additional certification if not already in possession of all relevant certifications
