The Management Trainee will support the Industrial Minerals management team with daily tasks, reporting, and lead teams to accomplish goals and projects. The trainee will also learn the functions of each department’s responsibilities and goals to help identify areas for process improvement within the plants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for your own personal safety as well as maintaining the highest standard of safety and quality in all aspects of the job. Be familiar with and follow CRH Life Saving Rules.
Provides direction to employees including assigning work; following up for completion and accuracy; and adherence to company policies, practices, and processes.
Assists employees with work related questions and problems. Provides guidance and problem solving when issues arise.
Establish and maintain effective communications within all areas of the operations.
Must make regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues.
Facilitates training to ensure team members understand and utilize established processes and practices.
Demonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level toward teammates, peers, and customers.
Complete daily production, safety, and maintenance reports accurately
Responsible for maintaining quality of all products.
Provides updates to supervisor or manager on department progress.
Partners with supervisor or manager to address work related and employee relations concerns.
Assist with a wide variety of plant projects on both a small and large scale.
Provide process improvement feedback and develop plans to implement in the plants.
Establish and follow a development plan in Success Factors to train/obtain skills.
Assume responsibilities of the supervisors or manager in their absence.
Understand and adhere to all Government Regulations.
Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by your manager or supervisor.
High School Diploma or GED, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
18 years of age or older.
Experience in manufacturing or maintenance preferred.
Ability to plan, assign, and direct work.
Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and in an effective manner.
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels within the organization.
Mobility to attend various meetings and events at offsite locations.
Strict adherence to the Pennsy Supply, Inc. policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as assigned.
Shift:Day shift, Monday-Friday. Must be able to work overtime, days, nights and weekends as operationally necessary. Various Locations, Primarily Thomasville.
