Description
This position allows remote reporting three days per week with two required days of onsite reporting.
Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School is a state-wide, public (tuition-free) K-12 cyber charter school with a substantial number of students. Our teachers are part of an educational team whose innovative approach to education is providing a dynamic learning experience for students across the state of Pennsylvania through cyber education. General Summary:
The Departmental Academic Administrative Coordinator supports the instructional needs of the students, their families, and Principal(s) as described below.
Essential Job Functions:

Coordinates requisition process for hiring

Manages initial screening process of potential instructor candidates
-
Creates necessary documents, slides, and other instructional material as needed by the Principal or Instructors

Assists in coordination and facilitation of parent and teacher communication regarding scheduling, attendance, and other miscellaneous considerations.

Coordinates new instructor on boarding

Schedules teacher evaluations and learning objective meetings
-
Schedules and organizes MAP testing and proctors; Supports Keystone testing as needed.

Support organization and tracking of designated student data information
-
Speaks to parents/teachers about academic timelines, due dates (Midterms/Final Exams, Entry Level Assessments, Marking Period Days, Various other calendar items)

Supports in the coordination of school field trips, High School Trips and Activities Committee, and all flagship events such as annual picnics, graduation, and dances

Organizes conference requests, registrations and facilitates reimbursement

Gathers and posts applicable announcements for the department such as the High School monthly Newsletter and updates to the Lobby per High School Principal.

Organizes staff meeting agendas

Inform teachers of various academic policies as needed

Supports coordination and processing of teacher/staff professional development approval documentation such as conference request forms, AP training seminars, etc.

Monitors and records teacher attendance and administration of available Work From Home, Personal and Sick Day availability and scheduling

Manages the ordering and procurement process for all supplies ordering within the High School

Updates budget and provide up to date feedback on expenditures

Gather and communicate weekly payroll to HR Department

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, staff and the public.

Excellent organizational skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel

2 years of Higher Education or Bachelors a plus

1 years administrative experience
-
Experience with general bookkeeping procedures and accounting is a plus

Experience dealing with school-age children is a plus.
Salary and Benefits:
- This is a 12 month position with an hourly rate of $20/hour less applicable payroll deductions
