Carrier Contract Analyst - Sourcing (Job Number: 2312600 )
Position Summary:
The Carrier Contracting Analyst is primarily responsible for the P1 RMIS (Penske Brokerage (PTMD) and P2 RMIS (Penske Logistics Freight Management Customers) carrier contracting and compliance processing. The position will be responsible to run and report on department weekly and monthly reports. This includes monitoring KPI reports to report on the number of carriers certified vs not certified and the reason why the carrier is not certified to the PL Sourcing Manger Carrier Contracting & Compliance.
Major Responsibilities:
P1 & P2 Registry Monitoring Insurance Services Inc. (RMIS) Carrier Contracting Registration Back Office Processes:
- Validate Carrier Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC)
- Complete credit check (PTL-ERAM)
- Security check (PTL-Watch List)
- Complete the Penske Truck Leasing Accounts Payable (PTL AP) AS400 vendor request process.
- Create Mercury Gate User ID and Password for the carrier.
- Send out P1 RMIS Carrier Welcome Email.
P1 RMIS & P2 RMIS Carrier Compliance:
- Monitor vendor RMIS to maintain a 95% certification status when carriers are not compliant related to insurance.
- Weekly Monitoring KPIs
- Monthly Reporting
- Other projects as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree preferred. If no degree, 2 years minimum business experience required.
- 2 years of customer service experience in business-to-business environment required.
- Experience in a Transportation or 3PL related work environment required.
- Working knowledge of carrier operations, rate structures, contracts and tariffs required.
- Strong understanding of contents of an ACCORD COI and endorsement interpretation.
- Working knowledge of carrier compliance requirements including Department of Transportation Operating Authority, Safety Rating and Insurance Requirements.
- Prior experience with: Mercury Gate, Carma, RMIS and JDAtm preferred but not required.
- Skilled in the operation of MC Office software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills.
- Bilingual abilities preferred but not required.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
