What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Counsel position at Penske?
Position Summary:
This position will deliver legal advice and services to the business in the areas of commercial law, transactions, real estate, litigation management, and risk analysis. This position will also advise management when entering into commercial agreements and may manage outside counsel in litigation matters.
This position is located at our corporate offices in a pleasant country and suburban setting 7 miles South of Reading, PA. Our location is a convenient commute with ample free and easy parking.
- Candidates should have 3-5 years’ experience in corporate, real estate, litigation and/or commercial law, including reviewing and drafting complex commercial contracts, managing or representing clients in litigation, and providing legal advice to clients. The preferred experience should be within a medium to large size law firm or working in a counsel position with a large multinational organization.
- Candidates must have a juris doctor degree from an accredited law school, and must be a member in good standing of a state bar. Candidate should have strong drafting skills and the ability to ultimately work independently.
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
