CNC Machinist

Job Description: Pentair has a job opportunity for you! Join us as a CNC Machinist in our Kansas City, KS facility. You will be responsible for setting up and operating a group of computer-controlled CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers and accessories to perform a variety of machining operations simultaneously. Pay: $27.03/hr. in first 6 months, $28.03/ hr. after 6 months, $29.03/hr. final rate (after full year) 9 holidays & 2 floating holidays 2 weeks of vacation to start (accrued weekly) prorated based on hire date Eligibility for Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Tuition reimbursement to support your education goals More details about the opportunity: Work from blueprints, bill of materials, process documents, written procedures, and verbal instructions. Set up and operate machine center using tools, programs and equipment needed, selects proper operating settings as directed. Position tools and parts in machines, securing and aligning as required, using hoists and cranes as required. Perform a variety of machining operations on an assortment of component parts.  This includes face, bore, turn, ream, thread, drill, tap, grind, chamfer, spot-face and assemble etc. Perform necessary material handling throughout the sequence of operations.… Position hours/shift (Overtime Available!): 1st shift – 7:00am to 3:30pm 2nd Shift – 3:30pm to 12:00am Physical Requirements: Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting and lowering weights up to 50 pounds. Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor. Must be able to read bills-of-material and blueprints, as well as follow written or verbal instructions. Must be able to operate mobile equipment as directed.
