Description
The Business Development Manager will build and maintain community and business development activities and initiatives for targeted business market areas. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with businesses and organizations in the community to identify financial service opportunities. Develops and manages community outreach activities. Provides recommendations on strategic planning for continued growth in the current and future target business market areas.
This is not a remote position. The candidate needs to be based in the Johnstown, PA area.
Areas of Focus
· To acquire new member groups; increase membership in established member groups; promote product awareness and usage; and explore new avenues to positively affect People First’s bottom line through interactions with People First’s membership, community, and corporate contacts.
· Engages within the communities we serve by actively representing People First through continual participation in community events and serving on strategic community and non-profit boards and committees to enhance our brand and reputation in the community.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business Management, Public Relations, Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
· Valid Driver’s License
· Three to five years of experience in a similarly related position.
· Understanding of effective community involvement and outreach/engagement methods, including event organizing, public relations, marketing, and public speaking.
· Continuous travel to markets in Western Pennsylvania
