What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAIL ROOM COORDINATOR position at PEOPLE INC.?
Hourly Pay Rate: $17
Responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail and postal machine and large printer in copy room. Records all cash and checks received by the agency. Completes Certified Mail, Certificate of Mailing and FedEx process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Retrieves mail from the lock box located at N. Forest office and distributes
- Retrieves US Mail from the Post Office, including P.O. Boxes, utilizing own vehicle
- Processes mail—collects, opens, sorts and delivers—throughout the day
- Processes various mailings such as paychecks, employee and department
- Completes Certified Mail, Certificate of Mailing and FedEx
- Prepares interdepartmental mail to be distributed by courier
- Assigns Hubs for locations, maintains the HUB list and distributes updates
- Records all cash and/or checks received, stamps all checks and provides receipts as needed
- Maintains postal machine and adds postage when needed
- Key contact for copy room equipment, initiates repairs when needed
- Monitors copier for faxes and delivers accordingly
- May provide clerical assistance such as scanning and copying and assist with reception coverage
- Complies with all agency policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED and three years relevant experience, associate’s degree preferred
- Valid New York State Driver’s License and personal vehicle
- Ability to lift fifty pounds
