Here's a sampling of what you might encounter on an average day, but as with any other business, our needs evolve daily.
- Verifies amounts owed and ensures transactions are recorded promptly and accurately in accordance with internal accounting policies
- Maintains electronic filing of all vendor invoices and statements
- Assists in the preparation of month end entries related to accounts payable accruals
- Works with various departments across multiple locations/states regarding vendor invoices
- Processes invoices for two separate entities
- Responds to vendor inquiries in a timely manner
- Assists the Finance team with special projects, and performs other duties as assigned
Skills You Need to Bring With You
From a technical perspective, our ideal candidate will bring the following skills & experience with them:
- 3-5 years' work experience in Accounts Payable
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in Accounting preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, a great "can-do" attitude and solid interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Proficiency using Adobe Pro
- Extremely strong organizational skills
- Excellent internal and external communication skills
- Highly detail oriented
- Ability to prioritize regular tasks and integrate with changing priorities
- Self-motivated, driven individual that can work independently but is also a team player
- Ability to multi-task, follow up on pending issues and meet deadlines
