Here's where you come in:
We are currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team as a member of our growing Accounting division. In this role, you will have attention to detail when assisting with both managing and directly performing key functions such as management of the close process, balance sheet reconciliations, producing consolidated results, preparing financial statements, technical accounting research, developing and implementing accounting policy, and assisting with year-end audit.
You also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills while assisting in all month-end/quarter-end/year-end close activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries. While working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic entrepreneurial environment, the Senior Staff Accountant will maintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and ensure that the financial statement is GAAP compliant and prepare the review of monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analysis.
You're great at:
- Ensuring proper adherence of internal controls to maintain the integrity over financial reporting.
- Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and training documentation.
- Managing all treasury activities, including but not limited to daily bank balance review, fund transfers, and cash flow statement preparation and forecast.
- Assisting in reviewing the work of staff accountants while providing mentoring and professional development.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we would like to see from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Five (5) years of general accounting experience required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required
- Public and private accounting experience preferred.
- Appropriately assertive, the customer-oriented approach required
- Impeccable communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels required.
- Self-starter, strong work ethic, and adaptable approach to work required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel, Outlook required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
