What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Peoplepack?
We are recruiting for a Financial Controller for a Denver-based multi-site company in the medspa space that is on a high growth trajectory through denovo growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Financial Controller is a key member of the Senior Management Team and will take ownership of the finance function to drive growth. This person's insights will drive key decisions and shape our future strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing, compiling, and preparing monthly GAAP financial statements.
- Organizing the inputs required for accurate financial statements, including reconciling the company’s POS with NetSuite, daily bank entries and coding expenses.
- Managing the company’s AP team and interfacing with Vendors as needed.
- Assist with the creation of corporate, capital expenditure and location-level budgets and tracking performance to those budgets.
- Work with the Operations team to analyze unit economics at exiting clinics and recommend opportunities for optimization.
- Create budgets for new clinics and track performance to budget as new locations are opened.
- Manage cash including monitoring balances, receipts, and disbursements, as well as maintaining rolling cash flow forecasts.
- Tracking working capital and optimizing the working capital cycle.
- Providing insight and recommendations for capital allocation decisions.
- Engaging with our investors and Board to keep them apprised of company performance and forecasts, including assisting with the creation of monthly reporting packages.
- Managing outside vendors as necessary.
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning.
- Assist with the implementation and on-going management of Purchasing Card and Procurement systems.
We are looking for a finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high growth environment and who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves. The ideal person has experience in a multi-site, inventory heavy, cash-based business environment. This person is analytical, creative and a good team player, and ideally has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor'_s Degree required, Master'_s in Finance preferred
- 2 years as a Controller or 4 years as an Assistant Controller.
- Big 4 experience is preferred
- NetSuite & NetSuite Suite Analytics.
- Multi-Unit Healthcare or Consumer Services.
- Experience with inventory heavy companies is a plus.
