PeopleReady is now hiring Scale Operators in the Stanley, NY area. Immediate opportunity!The Scale Operator, the face of the facility, is responsible for weighing inbound and outbound materials at the facility, processing outbound Bill of Ladings, and ensuring that material is being loaded into the vehicle correlates with the release number provided by the hauler. The Scale Operator will have additional responsibility to perform the Shop Clerk role which is responsible for parts and inventory management and administration in the shop environment.Note – Pay Rate for this Job is $18/Hour $22/HourShift Timing 1st Shift (Day)Responsibilities:Follows all company standards procedures, policies and complies with permitted regulations to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.Provides excellent customer service and communicates effectively with drivers, staff, and customers.Maintains accurate scale operations and records to ensure factual reporting.Communicates effectively with drivers, customers, and staff to provide efficient service.Assists customers by providing excellent customer service to ensure valued and strong customer relations.Coordinates the loading and unloading of all materials coming into the facility, machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads and machinery within a busy environment.Interfaces with company drivers, outside haulers, and 3rd party vehicles to oversee accurate and appropriate job functions.Makes purchases, manages inventory, completes warranty recovery and repair order processing utilizing out maintenance management software, Transman.Maintains an organized and organized workspace and manages current and accurate records per company policy and the government agencies.Executes parts inventory management processes including, conducting physical inventory, parts ordering, reviving, coordination parts pick-up and delivery as well as stocking inventory.Maintains records and statistics such as min-max levels for inventory control.Ensures organization and cleanliness of parts room.Completes shipping warranties and parts returns to vendors.Manages parts obsolescence.Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.QualificationsThe successful candidate will have a high school diploma, 1-3 years of related industrial experience, a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment and be legally eligible to work in the US.Experience or interest in an environmental and/or sustainability field is preferred.Outstanding relationship management skills, excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills are needed. Excellent organizational skills and a positive and professional mind-set are expected.Background check required
