Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships in and be an expert in Convenience Store and Car Wash Industries, utilizing SBA and USDA loan programs to help customers.
- Generate new SBA 7(a) and USDA B&I loans.
- Collect loan applications and required documents/financials and prepare packets to submit to both internal and SBA in-house underwriting
- Coordinate with SBA team on processing and closing of loans.
- Develop marketing strategies to promote government guaranty loans.
- Develop strong client relationships.
- Develop strong business referral networks (i.e. CPA’s or Attorneys).
- Perform other such duties as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with and adhere to all state and federal regulations and bank policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, FACT ACT, Community Reinvestment Act, and EEO/AA/Fair Employment Practices.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Government Guaranty programs, policies and procedures
- Strong sales, organizational, communication, and public relations skills, particularly in working with customers or prospective customers
- Strong business development skills
- Strong negotiations skills
- Good research skills
- Solid understanding and knowledge of bank products and services
- Excellent computer skills relevant to Microsoft Office Suites (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)

Position Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Five years’ experience with government loan programs
- One to three years’ experience underwriting and managing commercial loans
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong sales, organizational, communication, and public relations skills, particularly in working with customers or prospective customers
- Knowledge of Government Guaranty programs, policies and procedures.
- Strong credit underwriting background preferred
- Strong business development skills
- Strong negotiations skills
- Good research skills
- Solid understanding and knowledge of bank products and services
- Excellent computer skills relevant to Microsoft Office Suites (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
