- Develop and perform audits and metrics of construction inspector performance pertaining to daily inspection forms, weekly contractor crew scorecards, and GIS as-built processing through CartoPac. Work directly with inspectors and construction supervisors to ensure a consistent and thorough inspection program. Evaluate CartoPac metrics ensuring contractor accuracy and usage. Monitoring volume of exceptions across state.
- Work directly with Design & Construction Performance Improvement Coordinator, Gas Design, and Construction team to assist with DCPI related duties as needed. Assist with DCPI audits, opportunity resolution program, and status evaluations. Available as backup for DCPI Coordinator (PTO, emergencies, etc.) Maintain and provide leadership updates for executive report metrics and operating report metrics.
- Hold distribution construction contractors accountable and review/support/develop action planning for performance & Safety improvement opportunities. Work with PGS Operations and Safety on all contractor related incidents and incident investigations. Work directly with damage prevention, contractor safety, and attend monthly contractor damage prevention meetings (2nd party Damage review committee).
- Work directly with contractors, PGS construction management and accounts payable to assure timely approval and payment to contract business partners. Assist with contractor billing and aging issues as needed across territories. Monitor and track contractor T&E charges across service areas.
- Work with PGS Technical Training on all contractor operator qualification and training questions and communicate back to contractor on requirements and expectations. Ensure completion of all PGS contractor orientations and on-boarding requirements.
- Associate degree in related field. In lieu of the Associates degree an additional 2 years of experience is required.
- Valid Florida State Driver’s License with clean driving record.
- 4 years of work experience related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position, related experience consists of work with metrics reporting, gas operational systems, safety programs, and/or operator qualification programs or compatible systems and programs in an utility industry.
- Must have demonstrated ability in performing technical, complex assignments related to gas utilities.
- Must have demonstrated consistent initiative, planning, project management and leadership skills with sustained above average performance and the ability and potential for assuming greater responsibility.
- Must have demonstrated ability to function within Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field. Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of two years of equivalent experience.
- 6 or more years of related experience in contractor management, project management, or change management; natural gas utility experience.
- Knowledge of Peoples Gas business practices including safety, standards and procedures, contracts, budgeting, staffing and resource planning.
