Summary: As a direct report to the Chief of Finance and Shared Services, the Core Banking System Analyst supports the operations and monitoring of the bank’s core operating environment and other 3rd party systems. This position will act as the point of contact between the business departments, Data Management and Analysis (DMA) team and 3rd party software teams. The Core Banking System Analyst is responsible for facilitating communication and collaboration between the DMA department and the Bank’s business divisions, and to establish and nurture a working relationship between software organizations to increase efficiencies. The Core Banking System Analyst plays a critical role in auditing, result validation and data integrity monitoring.
This role may be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match the needs and role requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Perform as a functional bridge between the Bank’s core banking system vendor, as well as vendors for other data systems integrated into the core banking system, and internal stakeholders to ensure all data change requests are strategically vetted, tested and approved prior to execution to avoid compromising data/system processes.
- Ensures the availability and reliability of the Bank’s core operating system for daily functions. Acts as a resource for special projects related to core processing.
- Conducts quality assurance audits of reports containing financial data assuring company standards are maintained and data integrity is preserved. Maintains general ledger account system structure including opening/closing new accounts, cost centers, & combinations
- Monitors and evaluates system performance and configures changes and upgrades as needed. Operates closely with all internal stakeholders to prepare solutions to meet growing data needs including proactively enacting enhancements & improvements as well as creating and adjusting written policies and procedures as needed
- Manage relationship and workload with offsite developer(s), track system changes in order to achieve business goals, eliminate security risks, increase user satisfaction, and maintain operations and 3rd party systems.
- Participate in various team projects with outside department managers and staff to provide data specific assistance to achieve bank objectives
- Complete all yearly compliance training and testing and complies with bank, Federal and State Regulations. Adheres to departmental and bank wide service standards

Education and/or Experience: Four-year degree, preferably, in business administration, finance, or data/information sciences plus five years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Banking Core processing & General Ledger systems. General knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and associates.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills to articulate effectively in forums and meetings with technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to provide clear and concise project documentation to various stakeholders.
- Strong time management skills, proficiency in prioritizing, scheduling and managing multiple project schedules and different levels of criticality
- Passion to self-educate and keep up-to-date on the latest data and analytics trends in marketing, banking and other fields.
- Excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and quality of output. Proactively seeks opportunities to serve in leadership roles while serving as a role model.

- Working knowledge of retail and business banking business concepts. Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks
