Sanitation Lead
Summary
Ensures the 3rd shift Sanitation Team meets or exceeds the sanitation requirements of a food processing plant. This is accomplished by verifying all team members are well trained, follow established procedures and effectively meet established productivity goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Training employees on sanitation procedures, chemical processes and safety
- Administrative and sanitation documentation and record keeping
- Works with QA and management to construct effective long-term solutions to pre-operative deficiencies
- Cleans and sanitizes mixing tanks, kettles, pick system, pumps and/or pipes
- Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards
- Test chemical concentrations
- Operate chemical dispensing unit
- Performs job duties of Supervisor or Manager in their absence
- All other duties as assigned
