We are growing with a major expansion on the way. We are looking for a highly motivated, determined, well-spoken and experienced Catering Sales Representative to proudly sell corporate and residential catering.
As a Catering Sales Representative, you’ll be primarily responsible for targeting groups and ensuring that revenue goals are achieved or exceeded by soliciting, developing and closing local corporate and social group business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Pursuing new and repeat catering business that fits the company’s sales parameters per guidelines
- Handling catering sales for meetings and special events
- Establishing a strong networking presence within the local community
- Developing and engaging in relationship-driven and long term business relationships
- Creating awareness of groups in all internal staff, communicating information with other departments in a timely manner to facilitate efficient purchasing, scheduling and staffing
- Assisting in the development of banquet menus and pricing
- Conducting site inspections with potential clients
- Consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Cold calling, working referrals, arranging samples to prospects, attend and host networking events
- Determine prospective target markets (ex. Pharm rep, large manufacturing, large office buildings, companies with 100 employees, financial institutions, hospitals, etc.
- Qualify prospective client
- Develop full knowledge of catering menu and learn the landscape of our competition
- Must be in tune to market trends and changes, with regard to menu prices and menu development
- Develop strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business
- Visit current clients on a weekly/monthly basis
- Keep updated prospect list and notes...active client files
- Meet weekly/monthly sales quota with new customer sales
- Must be able to present in person to prospects
- Develop creative menu options to meet customer budgets and needs
- Upsell to current clients and use current catering clients to grow residential catering
- Accurate Order placement in the POS system
- Oversee order production from time its prepared in kitchen to when it leaves to be delivered.
- Attend outside event to ensure proper execution.
- Maintain calendar of events
Job Requirements:
The ideal Catering Sales Representative candidate will have a minimum of one (1) year experience with a proven track record of success. - Track record of developing long term relationships.
- Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
